" I was one of the early contributors and collators for A/L in Santa Barbara. Each monthly get together was a joy and gave me community amongst others of my tribe! My entries to the journal kept me on the art track for years and saved my life in many ways. Being an assemblage artist myself, Joe was a brother. His vision of global artful communication was and will always be crucial for humankind.  My special visit to Joe's home/studio recently is an experience that will stay with me always.
